Worldwide thin client manufacturer, VXL Instruments Ltd, announces new business expansion plans involving big price reductions across its range of desktop devices for all cloud computing and VDI environments.
Frank Noon, VP Worldwide Sales, commented; “Continuing our pricing strategy of pursuing best user value, we’re introducing massive price reductions across our thin client range with up to 16% on selected WE8S desktops and an average 7% decrease across our full line-up”. “We took the conscious decision to pass the recent fall in component costs onto to end users in order to offer a desktop range that delivers unbeatable customer value” added Frank Noon.
Conveniently split across three product sectors, entry-level, mid-range and high-performance models, VXL is able to offer a desktop line-up that not only now features highly competitive price points but also an excellent combination of choice, low total cost-of-ownership and class-leading performance levels.
VXL’s entry-level desktop range comes with a generous 5% - 10% reduction over previous prices and includes the Linux based K64 and J64 together with the VMware Horizon View PCoIP® ‘Vtona’ V200, V240 and V200-PE PoE models and the Citrix HDX optimised, ‘Xtona’ J12z and F12-z models.
The mid-range Md and Md+ (with PCIe slot), both feature dual core processors and come with a reduction of up to 11.4% while the high-performance, quad core, IQ-B and LQ / LQ+ (with PCIe slot) desktops come with an even more impressive saving, with up to a substantial 16.4% decrease on the flagship, LQ49 WE8S model.
Developed to meet the needs of all operator challenges, including Task, Knowledge and Power users, VXL’s desktops are available with a choice of operating platforms including Windows Embedded WES7, WE8S and Gio 6 Linux and come with Fusion Universal Device Manager (UDM) Professional software as standard.
